obviously you have never been lol
big events like this end up attracting more and more people each year. it might start out with mostly hippies in the first couple years, but nowadays a lot of cute chicks and other people go too. But still... most of them are all disgusting

For starters, it's typically in the middle of no where. Secondly, it obviously attracts people of a certain "sexual orientation". Third, it looks grubby and dirty and the people that attend don't bother bathing or being concerned about their general hygiene. You would probably die from B.B.S. upon moment of arrival to the "festival". (black booger syndrome)

Why hate ? The point is, it is in the middle of the desert and cost big $$ to get in. It attracts more yuppies and very spiritual and creative people than hoto's. I think its an american institution at this point. What other annual "festival" is like it in the world or throughout history?
Its non violent and non political and why be afraid of a little dirt, at least its not grease or trans fluid your partying in. Handi wipes work well in that situation and its not a big deal, bring lots of water and your toothbrush. BURNING MAN FTW!

The haters would be surprised at the variety of people out there. Once we met an older retired couple from the bay area who heard about it and decided they had to see it once in their lives. They were by no means hippies, but rather responsible former business owners. They were having a blast meeting people, checking out the crazy costumes and amazing artwork, and getting drunk at all the free bars. The husband was also loving "all the girls running around with their ******* hanging out" <--- his words
.Like I said, there are people out there from all walks of life. This does include some of the dirty hippies, but the majority of the people out there these days are business owners, people in the tech industry, and yuppies of all sorts. The beauty is that all these different types of people can go out there and have a great time together without starting bull**** drama, fights, etc. Of course there's always the Thunder Dome if you want to settle a dispute with someone!

I observed some pictures from Burning Man the other day that were taken by a guy that brings something like 500 gallons of water and will let women take showers for free if he gets to bathe them. muahahaha

My buddy has attended the last 2 years as a medic/firefighter. It's all trade...no money. If you want something you have to barter for it. Obviously you can imagine that the world's oldest profession is certainly allowing women to get what they want/need there.
Saw a few people today.. white guy with dreads and a chick that was wearing a shirt that showed her belly and black marijuana leaf (print) knit shorts that barely covered her "cheeks". And no, she was about 40lbs overweight. Wow... It's disgusting.

I have a feeling everyone bad mouthing Burning Man is insecure with their own sexuality and incapable of having any sort of fun deviating from their own uninteresting daily routine.
