Gravel gate fields (autox)
so...
gravel gate fields lived up to it's name... lots and lots of gravel, idiot local losers doing dohnuts in the parking lot.
Interesting course, I could almost keep it wide open in the slalom which led to "interesting" situations
at the end.
I was in the 43's for the most part with a STX winning time of 42.8 (sideways at the end of the slalom
). If I had kept it in a straight line, I think I could have gotten a 41.
how did you guys do?

next week again!... and the week after... and the week after that!

got a 41.xx on my first run, but I took out a cone. I hugged the first left sweeper too much and ran my apex cone over. my fastest run was a 42.1 ...probably I would have been faster if I didn't have a passenger, but I'm happy. I still took 2nd in my class after Ben Martinez(he's just too fast too catch).

I managed a 44.06 but hit 2 cones. So my best was 44.5 getting sideways through the slalom as did Chris. Damn that course was slippery and gravelly. But I expect it. Need to get my tires rotated side to side before the next event.

The 6-speed seems to have made me slower
Is all about what gear to be in I was in 2nd way to long. I keep forgeting that 3rd is real close. I was in the 43.XX each run, and had passengers on all of them. I need Gilbert to run before me so he can give me pointers on gear selection! I'll get it sooner or later.

i'll hold 'em down... justin... you hit 'em! i think Noel wants to help too!

44.7
I would have had a 44.5 if I hadn't driven over the first corner cone while pulling away from the start. I think it still gave me 2nd in DS though. Shane did the quickest DS run with a 42.8 which would have beaten Peter. Unfortunately, he winged a cone which dropped him into 3rd.

Hopefully next one, I'll be out there again. I was busy doing work for the Dude. B@stard! J/K! So I'll just pretend and say that I got a 46.xx. Glad you guys had fun.
My best was a 50 something in STX-N. I need wayyyy more seat time. And perhapse some more suspension and power tweaks. I essentially have a stock car with 17's and Ecstas on them and a perrin rear sway bar kit (mounts, swaybar and drop links).
Anyway, I had a good time, although the wind was a bit much.

Rob,
After riding in your car with the 6-speed I am very tempted... The difference in control was amazing.
With your 6-speed, you were always in the power band, and with the front LSD you were able to keep the power down far more often than I was.
Man... If I had a job I would be seriously considering a 6-speed conversion...
I can't wait to see how your WRX performs when you install the rear LSD

hah yeah I think I was actualy a little above the power band in the front section. As I said it is like learning the car all over again...I felt as if I was fairly well dialed into the car before I swapped the trannies. Now I feel like a n00b!
