I'm a newb with GT5 so bare with me.

My roommate saved up to get either the F10, F2007, or the FGT... but what is the actual purpose of those cars? He doesn't race online. Only A-Spec(lvl 30) and B-Spec(lvl24). What car would be worth it? If any, since he doesn't race online. Or should he start racing online?

Get the FGT. You have more racing options with those cars. The Ferrari F1 cars can only be used for Ferrari-specific races.

 

No flamming here, but it's not bad to race offline just the fact that you won't run into some turds that don't race clean. Plus you get a chance to understand the lines of the racetrack better, there are some really good racers online. Also if any of his friends are sharing cars like the X1, have him borrow it and use it on the Dream Car Challenge. It'll breeze through it and you can gain money faster to unlock the B-Spec Endurance races. I've been running the 24hr LeMans race since last night with the X1 (since i'm working today from 9am-12am)

Online racing is fun with the F1 but better with X1 hahaa

Just a heads up if you guys have encountered it already, PSN is down and could be down for a day or two
