Maybe I should get in on this... finally... haha. Maybe some competitive races will give me more incentive to get my wheel setup done.

Is it really that big of a difference playing gt5 with a wheel?I've never tried using a wheel on any racing games I've played just the control pad.figured with a wheel I have to have a table in front of me and make sure it's bolted on tight so I don't rip it right off lol

Mine is attached to the computer desk, I don't rip it off. I feel I can be more precise with the wheel, especially on long corners where you want to be smooth. But there are times I find myself having to turn the wheel a ton because the car won't bite.

IMHO, the wheel doesn't make a huge difference, it's the pedals that do. Being able to left-foot brake (first time I've needed to this in any of the Gran Turismo series) and have better throttle control make me much faster. First time I ever used left-foot braking was for that stupid elise special top gear event, but I realized how much faster I could be.

I've never ripped my wheel off the table, but I have moved the table if it's too light. Especially if I'm driving really bad and trying to countersteer all my mistakes.
