Arnold is the best thing to happen to this state in years. It truly is a new beginning. To bad I have to work tomorrow, this one is worth getting drunk in celebration over!

Maybe I can grow to love my Golden state again. Lets get some business back in the state, and some good jobs too!

To many Democrats have been running too many good businesses out of town. Lets get them back!

If Arnold get more than 50% of the vote, then I'll have to agree. And seriously reconsider moving back to California. (This is bringing back everything I hated about Califorina when I first moved here eons ago . . . but I digress . . . )

It's not democracy if the current elected official can get 49% of the vote and loose, and someone else could, in theory, get 15% of the vote, and beat the guy that got 49%. That's what can happen in a recall. That's what's wrong with our laws.

Will you really call it "the will of the people" if there's a recall against Arnold, and he gets 40% of the vote, and someone beats him with 15% of the vote?

How many times can I say this: I hate Davis (after his speach tonight more than ever) but this just ain't right. I'd rather have a democracy.

just for comparison. Clinton got 42% in 92 and the news media called it a landslide :/

if there is enough people that want to recall him, and he does not get enough votes in a recall, then yes, I woudl say its the will of the people if arnold would get recalled as well

a democracy does not mean 50.1%, it means the majority of voters.

if there are 10 or 100 choices, then whoever gets the most votes would be the majority

Enough is (I think?) 12% according to our state constitution. You really think that the vague feelings of one in eight people is worth spending $55 million of your tax dollars on?

If the first thing Arnold does as governor is is to fight to remove the messed up recall system we have, he'll be my hero.

So it's ok if 15% of the voters get to pick an elected official even if 49% wanted someone else?

$55 million is a lot more than I'll ever have. It's enough to pay over 1000 police, or fire fighters, ot teachers, for a year. There's your math.

Edit: I need sleep, and to quit posting about non-Impreza stuff before I suffer the heavy hand of brucelee. So I better call it a night!

remember that even if you voted no on the recal, you were still able and supose to vote for a candiate to suceed if the recall does happen

just like what boostyourtaxes wanted people to do. Vote no on the recall and then vote for him as replacement.

if 50.1% of the people dont like the person in the office, then that person should not be there.

I would personaly like to see a run-off other then the way it happened in this recal, but thats how it is in the constitution for the state so I cannot complain

so think how much the $38 billion davis and his cronies racked up the past few years would pay for the same services

edit : good night and we can debate more tomorrow
