Governor Schwarzenegger

All the major networks have called it for Schwarzenegger.

Where do I sign the recall petition? (He didn't get nearly the 50% of the vote he will need to survive a recall.)

With 2% of the precincts reporting maybe.

Of course I and the polls could be wrong.

Minnesota has to be the happiest state anywhere tonight.

Good Luck getting a recall now. It was amazing that the recall of Davis got to the ballot. There will not be enough people upset about Arnold to get a recall all the way to a ballot, Davis had SOOOOO many people pissed off it wasn’t even funny and many liberals signed the recall petition along with all the Republicans.

All I have to say is

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA REPUBLICANS RULE

Not all of them, only the Centrist, moderate ones do!

Start talking like a Christian Fundamentalist, like you forgot about the separation of Church and State, or of repealing Prop 215 rights, and you will get recalled too...

"THAT is Cali"

Our laws are pretty f'd up, it doesn't take that many people to get a recall. A small fraction of those that voted against the recall, or for Bustamante, would be more than enough. Sure it helped that everyone (including me, especially me) hates Davis, so maybe it will take $3 million to buy the next recall in order to get petitions to that small fraction of voters?

How many times can I say this: we need to fix this, so that we can have a democracy in California.

And good lord, why couldn't the Republican party come up with a reasonable candidate in a real election?

I need another gin and tonic.

Wow, I wanted to be able to vote for Riordan in the last election.

I only have Davis and right-wing Simon-backers to blame for that.

Now the justice served was bankrolled by a goddamn car thief and a fraud...too bad republicans couldn't have been smart about it the first time....

how can you say that what happened with the recall was not the will of the people ?

I think this was the most democratic thing ever to happen to california.

1. There have been over 20 recall attempts (30++??). This is the first one to get to ballot. That in itself says that it cannot be "bought" and that this time it is the will of the people.

2. There is no chance another recall will succeed. If the Dems try it will be squashed and they will look like bigger douchebags. Trust me!

3. If Bustamante had won you'd be paying a fat sin-tax on that gin!

hahahaha, gotta love the good old sin-tax.

and what the crap are you doing over here on teh "post-*****" boards, what are you some kind of "closet ho" but then you're all militant anti-ho during the day?

i can't wait to see what voter turnout was like. if there's one good thing about this, it's that tons of people came out to vote, and hopefully will continue to do so.

the turnout will be due to name recoginition cause of Arnold. I hope the new voters found out how easy it was and how much difference it can make and continue to do so

Its sad when we live in a country as great and free as ours, and there is usualy only a 40% turnout for elections

that makes me cry
