same here. i get so much flack from people when we move around the parking lots shopping or at doctors and i always put mine on. I just say whats it to you what i do. If they however dont put it on i pull a brake check on them rofl. Or i will sit there until they put it on. I am very serious when people ride in my car about wearing them.
Even back in the 70's some cars didnt have them. My dad would install them anyhow so i felt so weird getting into cars that didnt have them and would tell my parents i didnt want to ride in their cars cus of it.

I always have the same routine while starting the car.Key to the on position to prime the fuel pump, put seat belt on while fuel pump is priming, and then start the car. If I put my seat belt on first, it feels weird...
yea feels very weird to me when i dont have my belt on, even if im moving my car into a parking spot right by or w/e. and it bothers me even more when my passengers dont wear seat belts. number 1 rule when being a passenger in my car is, always have ur seatbelt on. when i see a corner, i like to make spontaneous fun turns in my suby. and when i always tell ppl to put their belts on, they are like "why? cuz ur a bad driver?" hahhaha! well if u crack ur skull on my window, it aint my ****ing fault that ur being an idiot jackass.
Every time I work and I'm on lunch, it is second nature to buckle up when driving to the food place across the parking lot. I have to catch myself while I'm in mid belt-grab, "I'm only driving 1000ft... let go of the seat belt." Time saving? A little bit... Worth it? Probably not... Feels Akward? Most definitely.

At my old job, I was in and out of the truck alot so I got used to not putting my seatbelt on all the time.
Sometimes, especially if im in a hurry, Ill forget and not put it on. Also, if I have to disconnect to get my wallet or phone out for some reason, I dont always put it back on. I know its against the law and I deserve the ticket. Im a bit mad at myself, since its one that is totally on you and I just cost myself $100
I was on the freeway, in rush hour traffic. I was trying to get out in traffic and merged in front of a chp. I thought "I should have had my seatbelt on" and then she turned on the lights...

Yeah for me it's like muscle memory or something, even when I move a car out of the driveway to get another car out or something I end up with my seatbelt on w/out thinking about it. A seatbelt saved my life once, maybe that's why.
I agree with Paul though - it should be completely lawful for one to die from one's own stupidity in this silly state.

Seatbelts kill more lives then they save.
Or was it airbags?
I remember my 1963 VW bug never came with seatbelts from wolfsburg. At first I used rope till my parents made me go get some lap belts. Save my *** from falling out of my bug when the door would swing open after making hard right turns. ( at the time I was like 100lbs hahaa)
click it or ticket!

Personally I always wear a seatbelt but these ****ing nanny laws are ridiculous! If an adult doesnt want to wear a seatbelt in a car or doesnt want to wear a helmet on a bike - that is their choice!!
Damn nanny laws are taking our rights away one by one

Yeah, I have to go out, get food, order it, eat it and be back working by 30 min.s. every minute saves time for me at least. Plus i'm on my feet all day at work... makes life easier to have a good sit down in the car.

Just not worth it
