Im a big fan of the 030s and 070s. If you went from that to the ASX (I have these on my 1996 OBS) you would shoot yourself. The performance difference is huge

LOL...

The one thing I found about the RE92's was that they seemed indestructable, crap tires but indestructable.

Personally I would recommend RE01R's

Guys Im having a tough decision on finding tires..here is a better criterias on what I am looking for

-UNDER $110.00 per tire
-Better Ride quality than the Stock RE070's
-Tires has to adhere the SF City Driving (Potholes etc..)

Some Suggestions I came with are the:

-Falken ZE-912's
-Sumitomo HRZ III
-Kumho ASX's

Any1 with these tires please chime in!

I second this. I just got a set of 615s a couple weeks ago and I'm very happy with them for city driving, and they perform pretty well in the mountains too. A very predictable tire.

i know asx's last a long time, not sure about those other choices.

i would really just buy the cheapest tire from those 3.

I haven't had much chance to get them hot, as I've been waiting to get my new pads installed (which is happening right now, actually).

What has your experience been with the 615s?

They're not as bad as 215's were, but 215's were TERRIBLE in the wet stuff.

You need to be cautious with 615's on wet highways. They hydroplane easily.

They will get greasy when you get them hot.

"city" or CITY
not trying to be a snob... just saying that the OP lives in the city of san francisco and i and my kidneys can empathize with him...

my asx's do well around here.. .much better than 615s or z1s... but i have a set of z1s mounted on another set that i use for autox and don't daily them anymore.

I've used the KDW2s and they work out pretty well.
Noise level is not the greatest but I felt safer on them then my Azenis 615s in the wet (either at the race track or daily driving).
