Anyone know of any nice Sac area (or further north if possible) furniture places? I need a desk, headboard, and nightstands. I'm looking for good quality stuff, none of this hippy ikea crap. Anyone?

Josh,
For inexpensive, decent quality I would suggest RoomSource across from the Best Buy on Sunrise in Citrus Heights or Beck's on Folsom Blvd between Sunrise and Hazel (there's another one on Madison not far from I-80). Naturewood is real nice too, but more expensive. It is on Folsom too, closer to the Hazel exit. The America's Furniture place off Business 80 and Auburn Blvd is okay, but feels like a car dealership.

Josh - I'll give another to Room Source. In fact, that's where we got our couches from. They still have em in stock there too (and for less money than we paid
). They have really great service - when we got our couches one of the cushions had some of the stuffing sticking through the stitching. I called em and they just shipped a new cushion and didn't even ask for the first one back. Much easier than getting warranty work done on my WRX
Their prices are also fair and they can offer you financing. Room Source also has a "clearance" center where they have returned items in like new shape for kick *** prices off of Richards Blvd (come up I-5s from where you live, exit Richards, turn left and watch for the "clearance center" signs on the left hand side of the road). You could also check out Becks Furniture in Rancho (head out towards s^2, exit Sunrise, turn right at the light, left on Folsom and follow it till you see Becks on your right). Their selection puts the Room Source to shame (that building is HUGE) and their prices are pretty comparable.
In Roseville there is a place called American Furniture Galleries (down by 24hr Fitness across from the auto mall). We bought our dining room table there and got a great deal.
I've used all three of the above retailers and they've been great.
I've also heard that Cort Furniture is really good for kick *** prices but I'm not sure if their stuff is all returns or what. Maybe buy your bed elsewhere

Good luck, man

oh, and when Mike says NatureWood is more expensive, he means you just may need to sell some organs on the black market, or sell your body to science in order to afford the furniture there

But if you like that swedish/scandinavian kind of furniture, I'd second the recommendation for scandinavian designs on sunrise near fair oaks. Very nice furniture. More pricey though.
