Good Places in the Bay/ CA area to look for STI Transmission Swaps
Hi all,
So after appx. 150k miles, I had my stock clutch slip for the first time the other day.
I've thought about just getting a new clutch/flywheel assembly, but the goal of the car is to build power and reliability, and the 5 speed just won't cut it in the long run.
My budget is limited, and I'll more than likely be doing this myself in my driveway.
Does anybody have any recommendations on places to contact, go look, or even have a 6 speed lying around that they'd want to sell.
And of course, with the removal of my own, If anyone wants a 5 speed in fair condition, but in need of a clutch. Your welcome to buy it!

Just watch the classifieds here and on CL. I got mine for $3500 for trans, driveshaft, front and rear axles, front control arms w/ complete hubs and brembos, complete rear subframe with diff hubs and brembos, cusco mount and kartboy short shifter. Swap wasnt that bad and was completed in my driveway. Had one person help to stab the new trans but that was it.
