Good car upholstery place?
Anyone know a good car interior upholstery place that does custom interiors in/near San Francisco?
I have a few small pieces I'd like to get reupholstered in custom fabric. The place has to do a good job and OEM/tight fit. None of the baggy stretched ill-fitting stuff.

bascom trim and apolstry.
Seriously though. You'd be better off finding some old schooler in watsonville or gilroy to do it.
I'm having and old dog out of Paso do my caddy.

Thanks for the replies... these places sound great but aren't too close and doesn't look like the Bascom place is open over the weekend.
Unfortunately, I'm stuck to a pretty strict 8-5 work schedule...

Basom Trim and Upholstery is awesome, but more on the level of having the leather dash on your 330 GTC redone or some $40k stereo installation. They do simply amazing work, but they charge for it.
I just had some interior panels redone on my '80 Celica at ABC Upholstery in Santa Clara (on Kiely across from the Toyota dealer) and they look awesome. They have rebuilt both my seats and a few other things on other cars. Their quoted price for both panels was less than half the quoted price from Bascom to do ONE panel. They look great. There was a '34 Ford 5 window in there that they were going to redo the whole interior for. I was talking to the owner and it sounds like it's gonna be awesome. I am pretty sure they are open on the weekends. They have always done better work than I expected, charged me less than they quoted, and had it done before they said. Top notch business. (408) 241-6800 and talk to Mona.

you're gonna need a rental car anyways.
Take my word for it. Don't base your search purely on location. Quality is quality. Crappy interior work will haunt you forever. You see it non stop. On top of that....it's not gonna be done over night.
OH....and bascom will come pick your car up. Least they did it for me. Flat bed to and from my house.

Sounds great but I was only planning on doing some door panels and back panels, maybe rear seats so I wouldnt have to leave the whole car.
I guess I'll call a few of these places and see what they can do for me in terms of price and when they have time to do it. The material I am planning on using is 3D carbon fiber. (looks like real carbon fiber)
