Need Opinions: Evo8 or SRD Recaros? Good upholstery shop in Sac Area?

Need Opinions: JDM STI Seats, Recaro SRDs, Relinable or Fixed, decision decisions...
It changes again, lol
I have finally narrowed it down. I have started doing a lot of research into sizing, cushion customizing, FIA compliance, fitment, reviews, etc. I have narrowed it down to a few seats. Just check with pricing through different vendors but would still like some opinions.
Sparco EVO Cloth (medium) - Blue
Sparco REV Cloth - Blue
Sparco Corsa Cloth - Blue
Recaro SRD Suede - Blue
Status Ring FIA Cloth - Blue
Status Ring FIA Ultrasuede - Blue
Status Ring FIA "Custom Configuration"
- Seat material cloth
- Seat color black
- Logo color white
- Stitching color black
- center style ultrasuede
- center color blue
- Seat backing FRP
I like the Sparcos because they are tested, have the history, great FIA certifications, but i have never personally sat in one. The REV sizing is appealing and would probably fit me nicely, the seems a little big but with the harnesses it wont matter, the corsa looks great too but about the same sizing as the EVO.
The Recaro is awesome and the only reclinable seat i picked. I have always love the Recaros but they obviously dont hold nearly as good as the buckets..duh. Honestly i am starting to steer towards a bucket style seat.
And the Status seats...man do i love these. The Ring is FIA certified and has great reviews. I absolutely love the sizing, its the best sizing numbers out of all the seats for my body size. Here is a custom build i did for it.

depends on what you wanna do with the seats, in terms of dd, track use, etc.
I would recommend that if you really are gonna track or autox, to go with the SRDs.
if you are just dd-ing, then the evo recaros are nice enough.
or also jdm wrx/sti seats are also great all rounders.

If you're going to get the seats reupholstered, ask the upholstery shop if they can custom fit the seats to you by adding some bolstering. If they can and will for a reasonable cost, go with the EVO 8 Recaros. I have them and am about the same height and weight as you, I wish they hugged me just a bit tighter.
I think your price of modifying the seats and reupholstering them will be in the $650-700 range, including the purchase price. Still cheaper than the SRDs.

Not a fan of the JDM seats, rather keep my OEMs over JDM seats. Unless they are the JDM Sport seats (Recaro SRDs) or S20x seats LOL.

I'm happy to hear some actual "data" on these. To be honest, i didnt slide around as much as i thought i would have in the STI seats, but i feel if i can keep my shoulders from sliding around as much i will have better control of the wheel as i wont be tensing up to try and hold my body. So i know the EVO 8 seats will be better then the STI seats.

Look around in Orangevale. There are some hotrod shops you could get recommendations from. I think I'm going to learn upholstery sooner than later, but that doesn't help you right now.

6'3" 210 lbs
but when I got them i was probably 6'2" and 190lbs.
I have had many smaller people (similar in size to you) that also compliment the seats. If you want to stop by and sit in one, you're more than welcome.
