Generally around $350 bucks if it's a remnant like this. Buying a 12' stick of titanium in this OD costs around $5,000 or roughly $35/inch

Yikeskies..

I showed my old man some of your welding Pr0n, he said "When he wants to learn how to lay a real bead down, tell him to call me"

hah but to be real, he said your work looks real good and to keep it up!

Ouch, that hurts. I do have to say I've lost some touch since I'm not welding aircraft stuff, working at my current job has made regress. I miss intricate and precision welding.

i have some 2.5" OD pieces that the bosses kid cut to short. They're around 4" long. If you need something around that size let me know and we'll work something out.

So I bought a welding positioner last week and it arrived on thursday. Bought this to speed up production of long parts and to also make higher quality one start/stop welding passes. Still need to dial in the speeds for certain OD parts, but its getting there. Here is a quick 304 stainless tial housing inlet flange welded to one of my rotated turbo 321 uppipe tubes. This was also back purged via purge adapter under the mounting surface that flows argon through it and into the part.
