Good Beers? Official Beer Lovers Thread

Hey fellow beeraholics. Quick question, what are some good beers to try out there? My preference is towards stouts, though I'm also a big fan of trappist and belgian beers (like Chimay.) I'm not a big fan of pale ales, especially India types, though you can go ahead and include those since they make for a good Black and Tan. I'll go ahead and include some great beers I've come across. Please include where I can buy them if possible.

-Chris

Murphy's Stout (SUPER smooth)
any Chimay (grand reserve, premier etc.)
Drake's imperial
San Quinten's Brake Out Stout
Samichlaus Bier (14% alc., yummy)
Kriek Lambic, or any lambic for that matter (chick love this stuff. Tastes like soda witha shot of vodka. best part is that it is usually 10+% alc. and gets the ladies buzzed quick)

Murphy's is my favorite. Also a big Guinness, and sometimes Boddingtons drinker.
If ya like the harder stuff, try Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot Ale, 10%+ i think.

If Im just drinkin cheapo beer, usually drink Corona or Red Stripe.

Red Stripe is the most underrated cheapo beer out there. Man that stuff is good with pizza or BBQ! I'm more looking for a "cost is no object" beer though. At the end of the week I like to go out and "beer taste" by buying some craft beer with friends.
Thanks for the input.

I am real stoked on Bohemia. It is a slightly dark mexican beer, kinda like Modelo Negra. But it has just an excellent taste to. You guys really need to try it.

And if I have to drink cheapo beer, and I know all of you are going to say, YUCK, Miller High Life goes down so quick and smooth it is unbelieveable. Ice cold Miller High Life on a day like today would have been perfect.

Yeah that stuff is made about 5min. away from my parents home down in San Marcos, CA. Good stuff, and you can get it CHEAP down there.

forgot to mention any Pyramid beer is good as well as Gulden Draak Ale which is 10.5% alc.

Hey man, it's cool, it's not a pissing contest. To each thier own. I personally can't stand wine or tequila. Off subject of beer, but on the subject of tequila, have any of you ever tried Patron XO Cafe? It's a Coffee Liqueur (35% alc.) made with tequila. It is the WORST liquer I have ever had. Any one I have had try it automatically gags with one sip. I bought a bottle of the stuff for $4.99 soley because it was normally listed for like $30.00 and I figured it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Turns out I should have. This stuff has become a joke between my friends and I, and we make bets on who can drink the most before barfing. G-R-O-S-S.

Dang - what an awesome idea for a thread... :D

Beeeeeeer.. One of the top five favourite things of my life. My favs:

The best beer evah: Magic Hat #9 but anything by Magic Hat is awesome. Can't find it here tho.

My favourite beers:
Mahana Red (from my home, Hilo Hawaii)
Just about anything from Magnolia in SF (that place is NOICE)
Gordon Biersch Dunkles
Big Daddy IPA
Fat Tire
Widmer Wheat
Red Hook
Tel-Aviv Brewhouse Moonlight ale
Yuengling Lager
Kronenbourg
My usual drinking beer: Smithwick's
Boddington's
Guinness
Guinness Extra Cold Draught
Rock Bottom Racoon Red
Steinlager for those cheap nights and Pacifico is great to chug as well.

But wow, I don't think I would ever have a use for a Bud or a Miller. Just not into that, nothing wrong with them. Though for some reason $2 Pabst works well on Tuesday nights. Haha..

One of my fav beers was Rock Bottom Kolsch - but they discontinued it thos fockers.
