All of these sound fantastic and have given me a lot to experiment with
Personally tho I always start the night off right with an Irish Car Bomb!

I'm down for a beer party.
But I'm partial to canadian beers..no name stuff.
couple others I like are
Murphy's Red
Black Butte Porter
Redhook
Red Tail Ale
Humbolt Hemp Ale
Rockbottom brewery beers
I'm an ale guy.
oh...and I nearly forgot one of my all time favorite chill beers. Boddingtons.

for a good strong beer. Try something from the snowshoe brewery in arnold. They have a dark beer thats like 6.9 percent or something....burly. Great beer after a long day of snowboarding...two pints of that and I'm ready for bed.

Any one I have had try it automatically gags with one sip. I bought a bottle of the stuff for $4.99 soley because it was normally listed for like $30.00 and I figured it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Turns out I should have. This stuff has become a joke between my friends and I, and we make bets on who can drink the most before barfing. G-R-O-S-S.

You like stouts, eh? That's one of my favorite styles, as well. My all time favorites are double and triple bocks, but you can't drink those every day as they pack a wallop.
I recently got a 6er of a stout made by New Belgium Brewing Co. (the makers of Fat Tire). It's called 1554, or some other 4 numbered name. It is superb. I got it at Cost Plus. I haven't seen it anywhere else, but they probably have it at Beverages & More. New Belgium's Abbey Grand Cru is great, too, but I've only seen it once in any store.
Other good darkies:
Anderson Valley Stout or Porter
- Anderson Valley is one of my all time favorite breweries.
Mackeson XXX
Pikes Peak
Sierra Nevada Porter, I prefer it over their stout
Blacke Butte Porter and Obsidian Stout by Deschutes
Rogue's Chocolate Stout
That's all that immediately come to mind. I love imported brews, as well, but the local stuff is usually fresher.
Remember, there is no such thing as a bad beer, but some are better than others.

my Favs are:
Guinness (served extra cold)
and if you like Guinness, I highly recommend Beamish Stout.
Rock Bottom Brewery in the Pruneyard has a pretty good house Stout as well
lighter beers, I like:
Heineken
Corona/Pacifico
Asahi
Sapporo
and if you like to pee alot, the usual bud light
Darker beers, I like:
Negra Modelo
