Hey guys. My friend and I are going to Southeast Asia in July of 2009. We are planing on being there for about 2 weeks. We will be flying into Singapore and flying out of Singapore. The only place that is a cemented destination is Bali. We will be ending our trip there for the final 4 days.
Just wondering if any of you guys would happen to know of some good places to visit and any other words from the wise; i.e. how to get around, where to stay, what to do, what to stay away from.
We were planning on going to Thailand, Vietnam, and maybe one other place, depending on time and money.
Thanks for any input.

The following is if I was single:
It's kinda weird, cause I'd NEVER bang a prostitue here...
but I'd have tons of girls if I went to Thailand, Vietnam, Phillipines...
Why is that? Weird.
hookers ****ing disgust me, but the thought of living in Thailand with like 15 hot *** chicks sounds... so right...

I just did a trip similar to this last year. It was the best time of my life and it's true there are a lot of bunk *** ho's out there so be careful.
In Thailand, I recommend doing a tour because the area seems pretty sketch and the tour takes you to different hot spots, while you are still able to have free time to explore. Get a legit thai massage, if you want a happy ending massage then you can get plenty of those too. Everything in Thailand is pretty cheap, I think we paid 200 US for a 5 day tour all-inclusive.
If you go to Bali, same thing, it is cheap as hell. Did an all day tour for about 50 bucks US. The guy drives you ANYWHERE you want on the island and waits outside while you go in to temples, shops, etc. Must do the seafood feasts on the beach. Kinda homo if you roll with another guy, but who cares, the seafood is fresh and cheap. Clubbin in Bali is fun because you party it up with a bunch of aussies. Drink deals are like 1 for 1 beers and drinks and believe me they make that **** rough.
Words of advice...Be careful at night even if you are with your homies. There is a lot of crime on tourists. We got lucky and no one really messed with us, but I can see how people can get mugged. In Bali, when you go to luggage claim these workers will try to grab your bags and assist you to find a taxi and then expect tip. DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR ****.
Finally, Bring the card and use it when you can. A lot easier than carrying cash in my opinion. Just make sure you call your CC and let them know you will be traveling overseas and how much you are planning on spending.
I went to Singapore, Thailand, HK, Taiwan, Bali, Kuala Lumpur. Let me know if you need any more info and I can hook it up as best I can.
