Yeah, I just think it's so great that the team with the highest payroll in major sports just completed the worst collapse in the history of Baseball. FANTASTIC

Yankees!

Whatever... Giants baby!

BTW, your Red Sox still got a series to play before acheiving the championship... don't get too excited Chris and all you other Red Sox fans! We shall see what happens next...

Giant's are the sickest...but how can you like the Giants and want the Yanks to beat the Sox?!?!?! The Yankees are b****es, I'm glad the Sox finally beat them. I have a feeling the NL's gonna win the WS though.

Mainly Pedro Martinez and Varitek for their unsportsmanlike fights. I cannot side with such idiots despite the rest of the team somewhat ok with me.
First of all Zimmer had no business charging the mound. The guy is LUCKY all Martinez did was throw him to the ground. Would you have rather had Zimmer get out to the mound and start swinging at Pedro and then Pedro really hurting Zimmer??? I thought what Pedro did was pretty good considering the situation. And pegging batters is a part of the game...Just ask Clemens, or Nolan Ryan. It's just too bad that the pitchers don't bat in the American League because then they would all think twice about throwing at batters in retaliation or whatever.

Word, I can't believe anyone would be on Zimmer's side on that!! Zimmer's admited that he was acting dumb, and Pedro didn't throw him, he just diverted his momentum so he fell and rolled like the fat hog he is.

well said...like when clemens threw at piazza that was uncool. pegging batters is all part of the game. they do it in both leagues just less in the NL. Look at what Tavarez did in game 5 when he lost it, it was obvious he was throwing at batters and that's why the warnings went out.

you know what i found very uncool...Wiggly (Gary Sheffield) putting down the entire Red Sox team after Game 5. That's unsportsmanlike if you ask me. Professionals usually show some respect for their opponents and their abilities but Sheffield just flat out insulted the entire Red Sox organization.

Look, I don't like pitchers who peg batters especially right at their heads. You can blind the man forever, screw up their nervous system, or a serious concussion. It's not clean and it's very wrong and immoral. If you're going to walk a guy, just throw 4 *****. No need to "purposely injure" a player. If he's that good of a batter, step up and pitch him out then!
I agree with you about hitting batters but it is a part of the game and it will always be a part of the game. Every pitcher on every team does it from time to time. No one goes out there to injure anyone and I truly believe that. I think that sometimes a pitcher gets caught up and emotional and throws at a batter and it may get away from him and go toward his head but I don't think anyone goes up there to injure anyone.
