  • numerous torn ligaments in other ankle incidents - bouldering, BMX, etc.
  • broken left navicular TWICE - skateboarding falls. tiny wrist bone that takes forever to heal due to lack of blood supply

I've had far too many gnarly injuries to name, so I'll just post the most recent gnarly. I broke my arm in half about a 1 1/2 years ago, bones came out of the skin by about a half inch or so, completely exposed... Had emergency surgery, now I have a half titanium arm (plates and screws). Hopefully that's the last time I break it. That's the third time I've broken that forearm in half like that.

Damn son some nasty injuries here

I've been lucky so far, Really haven't been injured bad.

Worst one I guess was this, Was in a dirt bike race doing fairly well (5th out of 20 off the gate). A few corners later, dude brake checked me and I went down. People ran me and my bike over. I was super pissed and was pushing super hard to catch up.

Tried to triple a jump that I normally double and ended up in between the landing from double - triple, which was flat. The jump was a kicker so I was vertically up pretty high. Came straight down and for whatever reason I ate **** immediately. Landed on my knee and burst a blood vessel. knee swelled up real nice for a long time. Hurt like a ***** for a couple days, needed crutches for like a week. Not that bad

Uhhh, isn't the navicular in the ankle, not the wrist?

Ouch^^^
Blew out my left knee playing bball. 120lbs fillipino dude ran full speed into me and we had a knee to knee contact. I tore my ACL MCL both meniscus pads and had a fracture in my lower leg. The worst part was having to drain the fluid with a six inch needle that was basically a turkey baster. 65cc's of knee juice.

About 2 years ago i was at my gym spotting on the leg press. He had around 900lbs on there and i had my finger right where the weight rests when you re-rack the weight. Well on his last rep i wasnt paying attention and BOOM he lets go of the weight back on the small perches and smashed my finger flat. As i pulled away just by reaction, it ripped my fingernail out. Getting stuck in between the weight and the perch. If you can imagine putting a hot dog in a microwave for to long, thats what my finger looked like. Gnarly, it was squirting blood everywhere. Drove myself 1 handed in my WRX to the emergency room where they stitched my finger back together. I cracked my bone in half on each side. Nasty

Alright, you asked for it...
This is my buddy Justin about a month after a 4x4 flipped over on top of him

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Had to be medivac'd out - died in the chopper and had to be intubated and brought back. Was in a coma for 29 days in Reno ICU. 6 months later the intubation produced scarring on his vocal chords that closed off his airway... had to have a traech tube installed and have multiple surgeries to have the scar tissue removed.

This from a motorcycle accident back in Summer of 2007. I was wearing leathers so I didn't get any road rash but I got shaken up quite a bit. This happened during rush our on Hwy 87 going through downtown SJ so a lot of people stopped and told me not get up, stay still, etc. My arm actually felt kinda numb and my first thought was that I dislocated my shoulder (don't know why I thought that). Eventually, EMTs arrived. As one guy was taking my jacket off, his eyes got really big and he said "ouch!" I then found out that I had broken my arm. He rode with me in the ambulance and held my arm to keep the bone from coming apart more.

One surgery, one metal plate, eight screws, and thirty staples later, my arm is as good as new.

As a kid, I also broke my right arm, my left collar bone, and got a few concussions.
