Oh yeah, sorry. Still applies in this case though because that's what's happening.
You have to ask yourself why they're suffering if they're producing a similar car to that of Toyota and Honda. The answer is they're not.

I used to be the fleet manager at my company and I negotiated the fleet contract with GM last year. They were so hurting for sales that they knocked off over $5K off of the invoice price if we bought only 25 units. Almost $6k if we went above 75 units which we surpassed easily. From what I heard, GM was making little to nothing on deals like ours and other fleets. They were just trying to round up sales. It's not a surprise to me they are hurting for sales. It was only a matter of time before they applied the fleet mentality to the rest of the public. My prediction? GM is going to have to sell some of their overseas brands in order to stay anywhere near profitable.

too bad a vette gets as good or better milage than a wrx
Well they aren't offering that in the discount, so...

Still don't want a GTO though. For being such a (relatively) big car outside, the INSIDE (not to mention, the trunk) actually makes an STI look sorta big!
I fit in an STI (barely) with a helmet on. Easily fit in my WRX wagon. No way in the GTO unless I wanna drive gangsta style all the time
