Global Time Attack/Super Lap Battle season finale
Figured I'd throw this up for everyone, the end of the US TA season is 4 weeks tomorrow (November 7th) at Buttonwillow.
This time it's a co-op of GTA and SLB ran under the SLB ruleset (DOT tires for unlimited and crappier tires for the street class guys 180 vs 140 treadwear)
Obviously with it being a midweek event people have to work but at least for once this entire event will have a live stream on the Global Time Attack | Time Attack Event Series website and I know most of you do your web surfing on your bosses dime so may find it pretty cool to watch.
I can't say who is going to be competing as I have now idea, I would love to see the LIC guys come and hand JC his *** in modified but they have busy family lives (fair play to them!) so this might not happen (if it does I'd be glad to lend our full modest resources to them!!)
We're out there for one thing and one thing only and that's to try put out little clapped out batman mobile into a sub 1:40 time. More remarkable would be that this engine was built and put in the car last October so it would complete a milestone for us in completing an entire season with no refresh or anything (Kinda sad as we have our new big dog motor sitting here on a stand!)
I swear if the engine holds together she's going to Sac drags in full TA trim the week after the event for a fun night of drinking coors lite and getting our hillbilly on shooting for a mid 9!

Don't take the drags as a for certain, I'm liable to lean on the car (engine) pretty damn hard at the SLB/GTA event so can't promise it will still be running by the end of the day!

We plan on leaving on Tuesday afternoon from the shop no later than 1pm. We're probably going to stay over on Wednesday night and come back on Thursday morning after breakfast as all of our friends from out of state are staying so the after event dinner (party) should be worth it

I'll see if how much vacation I have. Maybe I can swing Wed/Thurs off. And you know if I'm there the after party is always worth it!

Of course if my dad rolls down there with me in the motorhome I might have to behave myself. LOL!
But it'd be worth it to roll down there in a leather recliner watching a flat screen and not using up my own gas. LOL!
