It does look like a nice solution for guys who just want to drop in something that will require minimal modification. I wonder if a FMIC would cause any problems with this approach? I don't really have a problem with modification, as the whole damn thing is custom

Mike,
Do you have any experience with the syncronic wastegates? They look pretty good, although fitting two of those things down there might be tough

Hey doc.....take a look at the newer N/A pzev intake manifolds. They might just fit the bill for a reverse/v-mount set up.

While putting together the engine I noticed that some of my hoses were cracked. So I am going to get a full set of Samco hoses to replace the stock ones that I have. The question is what color to pick? I am typically a non-flashy guy, so black would be in order...but the STI already has a red intake manifold, so red might look good too. Anyone have experience or opinions about how the options would look?

Thanks!

I would go with black, the samco red doesn't look like it matches close enough for my tastes. Subaru makes some nice red radiator hoses but they are ungodly expensive.

Black FTW. Stealthy looks much better IMHO.

2008 N/A intake manifold looks like it would work great for a reverse mount set up. Intake ports & bolt pattern is the same as turbo variant.
