Gauging Interest: Nissan Brembo Caliper Brackets

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2010203

Wanted to put this in a couple of locations, feel free to post it in any other locations if you think it will garner more interest however I am only currently checking i-Club & NASIOC at the moment.

Wanted to see if there is any type of interest in a possible Group Buy for one of the Vendors to make Custom Brackets to use the Nissan Brembo Brakes on to our Subaru's? There doesn't seem to currently be any mass produced brackets to make the Nissan Brakes work on the Subaru's and the only threads I've come across where people have gotten them to work have currently been about people having Custom Brackets made.

Now this would not be for a complete package of Nissan Calipers & Brackets, this would only be for the Custom Bracket to make the Calipers work with our cars (WRX owners really as STI's shouldn't have a need to switch from Subaru Brembo's to Nissan Brembo's).

The Brackets would possibly be in the neighborhood of $200-$250 or so.

So would anyone be interested in something like this being put together?

Think you could buy knuckles/hubs used for cheaper and just use STi Brembos.

? Nissan Brembos? Like on the 350? Or are you talking about the old nissan 4 pots from the 300zx and the skylines (same pads etc. as subaru 4 pots, but different mounts.) I looked into the later, rotor is wider on the nissans, thus a legacy gt rotor is usually used with a custom bracket. With all that you're looking at a price comparable to new subaru 4 pots...

ya unless you have some of your own Nissan Brembos kicking around you want to run this is actually quite counter intuitive since Subaru Brembos are much more available and cheaper AND better than the Nissan Brembos (STIs are F50 calipers, Nissan uses the smaller F40 calipers)

In fact, Nissan guys run special brackets so they can run OUR better and cheaper Brembos, how do I know? I designed them 5 years ago! lol!

I don't see the point in this. We have a MUCH simpler brembo upgrade available from our own line of cars.

Hell I'd have more interest in a porsche bracket unless you're talking about GTR brakes. But at that point you could by some alcons.

Seriously... there are so many options available for our cars that are DESIGNED to fit. I don't understand why people do this.
