Yeah. We like to blame it on OPEC but this has nothing to do with OPEC. Our supply and demand is unchanged. So we blame it on the california "summer" blend... also B.S.

What this is is being taken advantage of. There is not reason for gas prices to be over $3 a gallon. These companies and this government are pulling the wool over people's eyes while raking in BILLIONS of dollars.

It's all a collusion with the oil companies. The price of oil has dropped (dropped $4 earlier this week, yet our gas prices went up dramatically). Price of oil dropped today by almost $2, yet gas prices are still going up. Gotta keep their profit margins in line. Chevron has a refinery fire? Gets fined for cheating Richmond for burning off deposits for over 4 years and not reporting it? Oh well, doesn't matter to Chevron, they'll just pass it on to consumers.

On the local news, they showed one station charging $5.65 for premium gas.

Yeah I saw 5.29 this morning and not in a major city. Gas station down the street has gone up 40cents in 2 days.

Especially since insurance is going to cover the bill anyways and production/supply is really not effected all that much. It's about the same as a bar breaking a bottle of booze and doubling the cost of it's drinks because of a clumsy bartender.

Chevron's gotta make back those fines they were just forced to pay.

What's got two thumbs and is one step closer to buying an electric car...

I hate hearing on the news too that the price per barrel is lowering but the next day I see the price of gas raising.

A friend made a speculation, he said every time a republican is in office and theres an election to replace him/extend his term the prices drop but when its a democrat in office the prices go up...maybe because its a good arguing point for the rep's who love lobbying for the oil companies. (?)

It's o.k. They're lying and we're all buying.

You really think unemployment magically went down? Then you're not paying very close attention. You think there is a reason besides greed for gas prices going up... then you're not paying close attention. Who benefits off of these prices???? Oil companies and the government. Period.

You think this is bad... it stays up this high much longer and watch your grocery bill go up 20 percent as well.

I'll be staying home a lot until this **** goes back down. We as a nation need to put our foots down and stop this bull****.
