Yeah, it should be right next to my place and carry 100 octane for $1.50 a gallon. It should also have a touchless car wash and carry beer.

not so fast there chrisferno dont you know that gas evaperates especially that additive there using that replaced mtbe that **** just disapears into thin air befor you know it in its pure form

so if you have a full tank of gas expect to be ***'d out of some of your gas due to evaporation.

does it matter if you get your gas from a big chain compared to a small chain gas station?

Except the WRX has a pressurized fuel system, so the only evaporation you have is if you don't get a good seal when you fill up on a hot day(maybe .5ml).
Unless you drive around with a CEL from a loose gas cap regularly..

Use http://www.gaspricewatch.com/ if you want to find cheap gas, and help others by being a spotter and posting prices you pay.

If you are really po and can't drive the wrx due to premium prices, you can fill up on 87 without a problem, as long as you don't boost - not .1 bar. Just keep it below 4K and don't go WOT even with the ricer civic eggin' you on. Pull the hose and run wastegate if you have no self control.

Or you could get a part time job at taco bell (they need the help), which would pay for a full tank a day. The maybe I could get a rolled burrito instead of a bean pie when all the other joints are closed..

Regardless of how things are now or in the next year, gas prices are going to continue to rise over time, so you might as well get used to it, like they have in the UK with around $5 being normal. Or move to Iraq where $.08/gal is more common (unless you are buying from Halliburton )

Skip lunch and save enough for another 50 miles.

Charge $.50 to ride in your car.

Spend more time on i-club posting drivel than driving == saved gas!

Yup. I love it when people are all shocked that I don't know how much gas is today or whatever. What do you mean, you gonna NOT BUY it or something? Haha..

WRX just stays parked. The '95 L gets around 30mpg on 87 and it was $900. Prolly costs less to run and operate than the WRX if you include the price of the car. Celica gets about 25mpg on whatever you can find. Seriously, buy an old cheap beater to use for expensive gas situations.

WOW I just filled up with 76 on amador valley in Dublin for $2.49!!!!!!! (yes, premium.) It's even cheaper than the Valero accross the street!! ($2.51 there)

I haven't seen gas that cheap anywhere else for premium. Unless you try Safeway or Costco.

Im in La Jolla right now (San Dieog), and 91octane right now is around 2.89. Gladly, I don't drive that much, only put like 60miles on my car in a month.
