The valero and 76 on amador valley in Dublin (accross from Big Lots) are relativly cheap!

If you're REALLY hurting, there's always Safeway gas in Dublin. Last I saw a few days ago was $2.45 for premium, plus 3cents off per gallon with your card! I'm sure it's $2.50 without the discount now.

I usually fill up at that 76 on amador valley... it's 10-20cents cheaper than the chevron and shell on Dublin blvd./foothill (or that's san ramon valley rd, I can't remember, it's the stations by the hooters.)

that's a good point. the price is still anchored by a high baseline. that's why instead of getting a used car for the commute, you just go for the most fuel efficient one!

$2.55 last time I filled up here in Union City (that was last week). My car guzzles $42-3 a fill up. Luckily, I work and live in UC so I only do this every other week.

the Cheveron on Driscoll and Paseo is the cheapest place i know in Fremont. It always beats all the other prices by a good amount. (Although it IS the gas station right by where Rosette roams around =p)

I still always or try to get gas there though

Go to Costco. I think octane is more important than brand. A lot of independent stations get their gas from the same source as the large chains. That being said, I believe Valero is a large chain.
