Gas hits $3.14
Just thought I'd let you guys know that while I'm here in Sd on business I saw a 76 station that was charging $3.14 a gallon for 91 gas!! Man I wish I could find some place here in SD that sold 100 octane, shouldn't be that much more. Oh BTW what is the average gas price in the bay right now?

history in the making.
There's a twisted part of me that's actually anxious to see how high they'll go and what will happen in society. Anyone else get that feeling sometimes?!

yup, and the vindictive side of me wants to see how SUV owners will justify driving their tanks. our subarus don't get great gas mileage either though, but i'd still like to see what happens if it goes above $3.

i agree; given the alternatives (or lack of) we have, i'd still fill up if the price goes to $5/gal.

ride a bike isn't an option here in sunnyvale, surprisingly.
too many damn drivers who don't pay attention and don't even know that they've ran over a bicyclist!
i guess it's a problem everywhere, not just sunnyvale...but the lack of decent biking lanes/trails here magnify the problem.

Yeah, everyone knows that the Governator sets the price of gas. OPEC has nothing to do with it at all, nor the EPA and the people we voted into office for mandating that CA burns a special blend of fuel.
The good news is that the prices will drop slightly now that the Big Weekend is over, but I'd be surprised if we'll see it lower than $2.35/gal at the name-brand pumps.

So, is 91 really over $3 in the Bay Area?
