YOU feel the word gay is wrong... are you homophobic? why would the word gay be so hurtful?

African Americans who say ****** to each other are ****ing stupid and don't understand how hurtful that word is to their grandparents, parents, and all the other millions of people who were enslaved and abused, and fought forcivil rights. But that's "ok", cause the ones that are happy using it hate it when non-blacks use it (hypocrites), and they are usually the ones doing crime, abusing women, and throwing 'Dees' on their cars. (I hate to generalize, but, c'mon now...)

if you want to be associated with morons like that, well, that's your choice. want to say ****** in your daily life, go right ahead!

but you CANNOT on this board. Simple as that.

Word up!

they may say theyre ok with it but whatever.

I have a few african american friends that said they were ok with the white group for throwing the N word around in jokes or whatever...turns out one wasnt and kinda flipped out. Its hard for some people to take a stand so they say theyre ok to blend in and be accepted or not as noticed

Just saying you never know, just doesnt seem "professional" to me to use gay knowing there are gay i-club members. just reminds me of immature languaged used in middle school.

Of course not!

They would be like:

African-English
African-French
African-Italian

Or if you want to be hip or something: afro-German... the list goes on.

But honestly, they are way smarter than us. They just know they are African, and stick to that, or better yet, just French, German, English, etc. and look completely past the color issue, something Americans can't understand.

So, in the united states, most African folks who are of American nationality like to be referred to as African Americans, so at times I do refer to them as such.

$0.02 (most words i've typed on this forum)

For starters filtering words is dumb. I'm going out on a limb and assuming at least 95% of member are over 18. I've met minors that swear more than me. Middle and high school was where i learned a fair chunk of swear words i have in my bag now. So as adults we should be able to censor ourselves. If someone drops the f bomb all day in a post and it bothers you maybe you could pass a pm. "hey dude di yo need to use that word 400 times?"

But i would still like to express how destroyed my car was last year by saying it was "fu cked".

joltdudeuc: You are way of page with this whole "gay" thing. I have a fair amount of gay friends, male and female. When i hear someone say "that's gay" in reference to a lame car, or idiotic thread, i get a little irked because i know it may bother them. Or if someone is being a screwing around and being a pain in the azz and "don't be a phag" is used, i get a little irked. Those are derogatory uses of those words. and should not be tolerated if the nword is not allowed. "this thread is gay" bothers me. So since I'm probably going to get "points" for dodging "fu cked" and "phag" then those saying things are "gay" should have the same as saying the nword.

or nothing at all. f - it. they're just words. I don't get cranky when i hear something i'm sure would bother my friends because they are probably from people with a low IQ and self esteem.

^ thank you, my replies depend on people like you chiming in, people who understand the simple point im trying to get through peoples dense heads

i think F*** is the safest word and should be the last one to be censored, along with S***, but Damn is ok? when i grew up, Damn was ranked along side F and S

Ok let me just say.. cause this is getting old.. its not the word gay in specific.. it was just a damn example of picking and choosing what is ok and whats not.

sure some gay folk might call things gay.. most of the ones I know hate seeing people using it in a negative way.. and i am gonna use your own logic against you for a second.. you say the n word isn't ok... yet black people use it all the time.. but.... saying something is gay to define a "bad" thing is fine because gay people say it too? lol.. didn't you say it.. but it.... but... wait... oh wait no thats right.. it completely contradicts what you said about it not mattering if blacks say the n word or not..

can i ask how this is any different?

and kyle.. thank you. i don't give a **** if someone calls something gay.. its just an example of picking and choosing rules.. thank you for seeing simple logic man haha. Like you i don't care about the filters.

and bruce lee is gay.. i saw him making out with a guy.

I've probaby called a few things gay in here, but had reason to do so, if it was actually gay. and if i knew a gay person would read it i wouldve chosen different words

if you are all adults, why don't you act like adults? any form of racial slur / sexual slur, no matter what way, shape or form it's spelled, will still **** someone off! try thinking about that instead of spending all your time calling the guidelines kiddy rules
