Furthest East DRIVEN "Native" BAIC Car....
....is now probably my WRX Wagon
For those keeping track, I DROVE the car back east for my Christmas vacation. Went primarily to Huntsville AL (my parent's place), but also went this weekend to visit other relatives in the Carolinas. Some fun driving today thru the mountains around Asheville NC (crossed the Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Trail).
Probably one of the few WRXs in the entire country to be DRIVEN across all 4 time zones, and across BOTH Continental Divides (in New Mexico, and the Carolinas).
Car has performed great on the trip (and yes, it DOES run a bit better with 93 octane in it!), only issue being the Bumper Destruction Incident in AZ last weekend.
Oh yeah.....there is STILL a serious lack of Subies in the USA! I have still NOT seen a WRX or New Age Impreza (besides my own or on a Subaru dealer's lot) since I left California! Few Legacy and Outback examples in the Carolina mountains, but that's it. No wonder now that I'm getting more "What the $#@$@ is that car" looks on the freeway than I EVER got in California!
Looking forward to another fun drive across the country late this week

Haha, take your next trip up to Michigan or New England... The best selling vehicle in michigan the last couple years is the Forester... so why won't a Big 3 maker copycat it? I'd love to buy an American car that was equal to my Suby. I'm hoping the Pontiac Solstice gets here before I graduate, at which time I'm planning on getting a Miata. I'm keeping the RS though, let's not get crazy here.

Not visible in the pics is that the "top" of the cover is split most of the way under the black rubber strip (that says "Impreza" on it).

Ooops, here's the pic
Have seen a few Foresters on the trip, but still not many. It's now obvious why there are only 4 Subaru dealers in the entire STATE of Alabama
