On the bright side, the dent popped out all on its own. I'm guessing from the drastic weather changes?

That sucks. I refuse to park on the street since once I was downstairs standing by my car having a smoke when a hispanic lady across the street was parallel parking and backed right into a lifted ford f150.

Thinking she would get out and leave a note.....she takes off all scared.

Funny thing is she lives there and still parks on the street. I dont think the guy ever figured out who hit his car.

I need a new FOB for my 05, if you didn't already part with it, hahaha!

Damn dude, yea people are hella shady. Don't get me wrong, I am usually against snitching in most cases, but that's almost a situation where I feel leaving a note would be completely justified. Hit and runs on parked cars are such a cowardly and disrepectful thing to do.

Anyways, believe me, I hate parking on the street and wouldn't if I had a choice, but my girlfriend and I share the one parking spot we are allowed to have, so we take turns parking on the street. And the messed up part is it's almost SAFER parking on the street for us because our apartment is the only one within three blocks that doesn't have a gate on the garage, so it's constantly a target for theft. Within the year that I've lived here, there have been three vehicles broken into (including my gf's), one stolen, and two storage lockers broken into. And there only TWELVE UNITS in our entire building, so that's like half the people that have had their property vandalized/robbed! Unfortunately, the property management is worthless and refuses to do anything concerning preventative measures (despite the countless complaints from every single one of our tennants), saying "well that's Oakland for you, your stuff is gunna get robbed no matter what we do." Are you kidding me?! Back to the title of this thread... FRUSTRATING!!!

The older square key fobs also work with the 05 and are less prone to arming/disarming accidentally while in your pocket. You can easily program it yourself and save the $70 dealer programming fees -and use money for beer :-). There are programming instructions earlier in this thread.

It's very much lined up unfortunately. Nothing changed except for the 'broken' part I replaced...that made it worse
