frnt rht wheel bearing covered?

Nate said it sounds like my wheel bearing is going out. Now at 22K miles is this covered by Subaru or is it Customer pay?
Anyone know? The car has never been lowered or ran on the track I also had Midas swap struts and it was the same so we went back to stock struts and saved me some cash I also turned/cut the rotors for some shake I was also haveing the shake stoped but the grinding sound thats still there. I'm really starting to dislike my wrx

theoretically it should be covered under the bumper to bumper 36k mile warranty. But then again, this is Subaru, so who knows what they'll claim...

Unless they have some reason to think you've abused it, that should be covered up to 60,000 miles (drivetrain)

I had both of mine replaced under waranty: one at 45k, the other at 50k.

Good luck,
Mike

It will be covered no problem. My front right went bye bye just before my warranty was over.

How can you tell?

If the bearing is going? I was just wondering because my warranty is about to go.

Mine didn't really make any noise at all untill the bearing races where so hammered out that they started clicking, by then the hubs needed replacing too.

Under 36,000 miles I'd expect it would be a warranty job though.

Talking

well fellas i am happy to report that the problem was an easy fix. i took my car to a mechanic that my family has trusted for many years & found out that it wasnt my wheel bearing but a careless error by the subaru fellows @ performance subaru. i had recently had my 1rst gear synchro replaced under warranty & apparently when puttin everything back 2gether they didnt tighten my front right brake rotor correctly. so after that was tightened everything was great. quite a relief i must say. thanks. good night now...i am out
