Free OBD II scan in bay?
My friends Type-r is throwing a check engine. does anyone know where you can get a free obd II scan in the bay.. preferably around berkeley? I know kragen doesnt let you borrow their scanner..

You can do the scan yourself with a paper clip. Just make sure you count the flashes correctly and match the number with appropriate code.
Slow flash = 10
Fast flash = 1
Slow flash = 10
Fast flash = 1

AutoZone has free loaners, provided you give them a credit card. They basically charge it for the full amount ($200+) and then refund you (or release the charge) when you return it.
Yea...you stick it in these two holes in the ECU and then just look the codes up online...I did it on my civic hella days ago....atleast I think you stick it in the ECU
