SO my former boss rocked, and still rocks, an 80s trans am. It is purple, and on the hood is a bunch of the same style graphics. There is what looks like a tear, with a sleleton climbing through.

We called it "Purple Rain". I just imagine how dude was yayed out for the entire 80s, and then some...and the car is the proof.

And yes, he has a big greasy mullet to go with the car.
