Found a great recycling yard in SJ

Recently found a recycling yard near by my place. They take all electronic stuff for free and paper shredding is $7 per box. Man, I went through 2 boxes at home and I tell ya, I rather pay that $7. They shred it while you watch if you request for it. It's a big *** truck with some crazy shredder inside with a little monitor for you to see your docs are actually being shredded if you are paranoid with ID thief like me...

i finally able to junk all my old electronics that I have collected for years. and donated bunch of stuff to Salvation Army while I was at it. Hope you guys find this useful land help out the environment!

Hmmm. I've got like 7 computer monitors I need to get rid of. Nice monitors. I guess I'll try and sell them but I'm figuring I'll have to recycle a couple of them. We have grey beards out here.

if they are functional and you can't sell them... you should donate them and get some write-off instead of just recycling them.

Yeah. They're all LaCie monitors ranging in size from 19 to 22 I believe. Killer production monitors. And a 21 inch Sony Trinitron monitor. The sony was about $2500 new and some of the lacie's were over $3000. Awesome. haaaaa.

Yeah, it's just a tough sell getting rid of GIANT CRTs. Been there, donated that...

For those of you in the East Bay, ACCRC is the place to take anything electronic...

No joke. They're GIANT. the 22 is fecking HUiGE!

I've never donated anything. Do you get like something for your taxes? Is it worth it? I was gonna put em up on CL for like $50-100 a pop.

I imagine that if they let you watch them shred your paper they probably let you watch them destroy your hard drive. I would want to watch them too...I'm just as paranoid as you
