I took off friday and took the suby down to Long Beach to check out round one of this years Formula Drift. This was my first year and it was sick as hell. I was wondering if anyone else drove out there?

They had one STI with a rear conversion but he failed, just did not get good lines or anything. Maybe he'll be sharper next round. I seen a few WRX's at the mini car show, always nice to see some bling. I will have pics up later.

I know they will be here in September. Anyone thinking of going?

 

i usually only go to the D1 in la. I went to formula d once in sonoma and wasn't too impressed.

 

i was going to go to long beach, but decided not to.

i might attend sonoma again...maybe. a couple photographers with some stinking attitude made me sick last year. is this the impreza that was out there?

I usually try to bring the family out when they make their way to Infineon.

 

i ended up going to that. i didnt actually pay to go inside but saw from the outside. i also got lucky and watched all the cars leave the mini car show. i saw a baby blue ferrari that was sick. a white on white cls and a black on black cls. 2 skylines and a old school skylines. few supras and rx7s and way too many scions.

 

I only go to drift events in parking garages.

 

i went to the one in sonoma before it was pretty cool and they gave a lot of free goodies too

i might go to the sonoma one also when it comes. D1 is more pros, formula D is for us americans lol

 

me and ryan (rllyrcr)'s best friends' gf was a cooper tire girl at the event....
