I am assuming because the "seller" would not have contacted the OP if he was searching for white covers , considering his were just stolen and the "seller" just stole them.
It's amazing to hear that you actually got your fogs back. A friend of mine had his garage broken into last year, he scoured CL and local flea markets for 6 months and came up empty-handed. His renters-insurance took care of him though, which was a huge relief.
Yea but the thing is isnt the OP risking finding the seller as he posted for silver ones and if the seller didnt steal silver ones also he wouldnt have found him??

forgot to add...I also mentioned in my ad that if the color is different than silver I can easily repaint them.

He actually texted me with the offer... he said "I don't know.....75 bucks?????....but I can go lower.....I need the money"
I didn't find him, he found me haha
honestly, I was kinda expecting "GTFO" reaction. It was actually a step mom

thats badass
reminds me of a similar story a few years ago in Hawaii. A guy I work with had his board ripped off out of the back of his truck in the 30 seconds he had his back turned at the ATM. He went home and started searching CL. Saw an ad for a board like his, called them up and asked if he could see it and had cash in hand. He got there, asked where he got the board and the kid said "a friend sold it to me a while ago" to which he said "oh really, thats funny cause this is my board you stole out of the back of my truck 2 hours ago" as he showed him the hidden markings on the fins he put there in case this happened.
Needless to say the kid was scared ****less especially when his mom called his dad at work who promptly left work early. No wonder, my friend told me the dad arrived ten mins later and was the typical HUGE pacific islander who, from the sounds of it, beat the snot out of his kid

Step mom, that explains it, yeah he probably didn't get reprimended since it ain't her kid. He needs some "fog cover pimp slap" to beat some sense into that dumbass head of his lol!
