He is already planning taking next year off to recover and train, and be back for the tour in 2008.

As for the whole thought of him already have won the tour he has technically. NO ONE SHOULD CHALLENGE HIM. But it has Happened.... look at LeMond's first tour win. It came down to the last stage, a 6 second gap between him and Eddie Merks..... and LeMond ended up winnin...So like I said, he could still have to defend tomorrow..... But I don't think that will happen, seeing as Floyd and Oscar are very close friends, and everyone knows he deserves it.

Uh, I don't think LeMond beat Eddie Merckx.

But Eddie Merckx did help Landis win. What a race!

Nope, I mean his dad. The legendary Cannibal called Landis and his director sportif the night of The Bonk. He reinforced the will to win and Landis put in "The Ride" the next day.

Eddie is the greatest of all time.

Landis just tested positive for testosterone. He's been suspended by his team pending the testing of a second sample....looks like he cheated.

Sorry, but I don't believe for an instant that Landis cheated. If anything, this just proves that the current doping tests in cycling are a freakin' joke.

If you plan on trying to win the TdF, you better make sure that you've got a French passport otherwise they're sure to "discover" that you doped somehow.

F "Le Tour". Most of the best riders are American anyway, let's just contest a real Tour of California (expand it and hold it in June or July), and let the frogs have thier own little Bastille Day party.

(Can you tell I'm pissed about this nonsense? )

No kidding. If Flandis has too much testosterone for thier standards, it's bound to be because they've calibrated the equipment for Lance - obviously Floyd would have at least twice as much floating around in his system.

I was thinking they calibarated it for the testosterone levels in French riders, so of course American riders would read high on that scale. Female american riders would probably read high.
