Floyd Landis 2006 Tour de France winner
This morning Floyd in the time trial blow Oscar away and took the lead back to become the winner of the 2006 Tour de France.
only the 3rd American to win.
I'm choked up and have tears in my eyes with happiness.
Way to go Floyd.
I believed when all the credits counted him out.

well if you know anything about the tour you would know that it's not the day for someone to try and win. if they even try the gods of cycling will strike them down.
all Landis has to do now is finish the stage. which should be easy.

well, we'll see.
but if you don't believe Floyd is going to win it all, but your chips on the rider you think will. I know who my money's on. It's been there for the past 2 weeks.

completely understand. if something happened it would be beyond words.
But right now i'm more worried about how he'll recover from the hip operation he needs. Sure hope this isn't his last time to shine.

i dont know about that...
lemond's win when he was down 50 seconds to that frenchie, laurent fignon (?sp) was probably the best...
with all due respect to armstrong and now, floyd.
imagine...
last stage. an ITT and you are down 50 seconds...
you ride the best ITT you can. in the end, you are faster by 8 seconds!!!!!!
commentators were saying fignon was being relaxed at it. he used a standard road bike with no aero components.
lemond, OTOH, used the newest and greatest aero stuff.
the year after that, everyone was using aero gear...
my next best comeback is armstrong, coming back, literally, from death...
if floyd keeps this up, he has 3-5 years in front of him. to make a name for himself and for USA cycling...
