Flashlights! In order from brightest to dimmest:
My collection of lights has grown greatly over the years and I have a flashlight for pretty much any kind of situation... From weapon lights to scuba lights that can withstand 500 feet of pressure under water. The light I am most fond/proud of is my Black Bear modified maglight. The only thing it has in common with a maglight is that it shares the same body, everything else has been changed to accommodate the insane light output that it generates. A standard 3D LED maglight produces 150ish lumens which is quite a bit and is bright enough for almost any use, the Black Bear "Borealis" light that I have (The blue 3D cell maglight on the left) produces a WHOPPING 1,050 lumens!
It produces so much light/heat that if you put newspaper up to the lens it will catch it on fire!
I'm sure some of you have seen these demonstrations on youtube in the past.... Here's a link if you haven't:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCrwelQUTMc
When you shine it into the night sky it's like having a pure white light saber...
I know you can do that with a regular maglight, but it makes the maglight look like its dead.
But yeah, thats my pride and joy... The other lights have their purposes as well... Mostly LED lights, some with over 200 lumens and some with as little as 40 for when you don't need a ton of light. Some have a strobing effect and some have dim to bright modes... Mostly Inova to streamlight... I don't buy surefire because they are a friggin rip off and you're basically paying for the name. They make GREAT products but there's no way I can justify paying $600+ for a 200 lumen light. I have a small surefire weapon light that mounts to my AR-15 which works great, the only reason I got it was because it was the only light of its kind that fit perfectly, otherwise I would have gone elsewhere.
So yeah, the lights in the picture are arranged from brightest to dimmest, left to right. That's also a Glock Shovel (which I eat cereal with) and two gerber knives with a mini Ka-bar USMC knife. The Inova light second to the left that re-charges is a GREAT light... Bunch of modes including strobe mode, dim, bright, signal and its bright as hell... Not close to the Borealis, but still brighter than most lights I have seen.

Lets see what you guys have!

because the one on the end is a Black Bear Borealis. Did you not watch the video? 10 LEDs doesnt mean anything if it doesn't have the power behind them.

The G21 is my pistol of choice out of any other pistol that exists. It's good to know that it will never fail me, that it will go "boom" every time I pull the trigger no matter what the conditions are... Having the M6 light and laser is a really cool option for low light conditions. Some folks think lasers are gh3y, but I disagree... A laser is a tool that will aid you in a high stress situation where you don't have time to line up your sights and aim... They are idea for follow up shots as well since the target acquisition is INSTANT.

The single bulb Borealis kicks the living CRAP out of the 100 LED light... You cant even compare the two thats how bright the borealis is. Here's a comparison of some very expensive and bright lights Vs the borealis.
Surefire Centurion C-2 (same as the 6P) with the P-61 lamp, 120 lumens. (On par with a 3D cell LED maglight)

and here is the Ultra Stinger, the most powerful of the rechargeables from Streamlight with 295 lumens and 75,000 candlepower. (more than DOUBLE of the pelican)

Now here's Borealis 1050

I want one so bad, but we don't need another Basin Comlex fire down this way
Didn't we do a thread on this a while back?
I made the Mag85 similar to your Borealis. It's totally impractical and a complete pain in the *** to charge, but it is so rad.
It gets SO hot SO fast.
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=113100
I also made this: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=163134
I have cleaned up the soldering since I originally posted the thread on CPF. I'm pretty proud of it. Super bright (not anywhere close to the mag85, but more useable) and runs WAY cooler.
The rest:
Surefire
-M2
-X200b
Streamlight
TLR2
MAG
Mag85 - Mag 3D with a WA85 bulb, 9AA adapter, aluminum reflector, etc.
Mag 2C w/ a carley 1499 - WAY whiter light output that the Mag85 and nearly as bright
Lumapower
M1
My next flashlight is going to be this little bugger: https://www.4sevens.com/product_info...roducts_id=501
I have like a billion other lights. I'll update later when I get home.
I need to get pics of all of my lights.
