Oh yeah, what's the law about modified catbacks? I know if it's under 95 decibels it's still legal, thats 95 decibel...at a certain distance at a certain rpm? how far and how many rpm's?

if youre talkin about on the street, it basically doesnt matter how loud at what rpm at a certain distance. i got pulled over for my exhaust and the cop informed me that in the state of california, anything that makes a noise that is loud enough to bother a police officer, is illegal (his interpretation). but if you go in to get a legit test, like smog (i think they check your sound output) its something like over 95db at 100 ft at 3000rpm. correct me if im wrong, cuz im no cali guy but ive been pulled over in cali so maybe this might help...either way, i didnt get a ticket, but im probably gonna go back to a quieter exhaust most of the time since cops have been cracking down more.

That's so awesome. I hear about this a lot actually. No insurance? Illegal alien? No probs... Average legit person in a car with a loud exhaust or tinted windows... YOU'RE GOIN DOWN. Fockin hell. I wonder why some people wonder why cops have a bad reputation.

i have a sherrif buddy read the vehicle code to me about exhausts... it says any exhaust is illegal that is purposely meant to make the vehicle louder. why dont the suv's get pulled over for their flowdisasters then?

I have the Blitz NUR Spec exhaust and it is a loud mother ****er, especially since i have a catless dp. but i put that exhaust on with the intention on making my car faster but not because its loud so does that make it legal. Lol!
