Damn, thats PERFECT evo fitment, maybe I'd evo run the +22 in gunmetal so they sit flush with my fenders. I love the face 3, its much the the GTR face advan RG2s that the evo guys run in very low offests

Any idea how much the 17x9s weight?

17x9 ET38 on an Evo? thats far from perfect. if i had an Evo i would def run the 18x.9.5 ET22 in the front and 18x8.5 ET33 in the rear. just like the fitment on the white Evo of the gramlights max's advertisement. well thats what im trying to get my friend to get for his Evo9 but i agree with u on the face 3 tho, i wish i could run face 3 on my car. this is a good alternative for the Evo guys since everyone and their mama has RG2(GTR face) on their Evo.

Hahahaha! looking good there Vennis!!! lookin good!! now i just gotta hurry up and put mine on my car to show the guys here that we can have the gangsta look on subies too!

Just so everyone knows, these rims were suppose to arrive late october or early november, but thanks to my guy at Mackin, he worked some magic to get ours here early! vennis actually had a huge amount of clearance. He's running really conservative camber front and rear, and he's streching tires, not at 255's yet. if any 05+ STI guys wanna run 18x9.5 +38, i think it's doable. i'm going to be trying that on my own car soon too.

Anywhoo, thanks vennis for posting this since my lazy *** have no digital camera to take pics and post it. the car's looking good man!

Well, if you dont wanna rub a ton or flare the fenders or pay a TON on 18" big tires, 17x9+38 is perfect (+38 is the stock evo offset FYI). 17x9+38 with 245s will rub a ton on subies without massaging the rear fenders

255/40/17s are cheap due to them being a popular size (615s are like 125 each in this size)

Any idea on the weight of a 17x9?

my friend has 18x8.5 +25 on his Evo 9 with 255 tires and no rubbing on untouch fenders(he's running -1.5 rear camber). negative camber is ur best friend

however, lots of negative camber is not your tires' best friend

im running -2 in the front and guess what, the outer edge of my tires r STILL wearing faster than the inside. as long as ur toe is set to 0, u can run as much as -2.5 without too much uneven wear.
