It finally happened
After having my car for about 2.5 years i finally got pulled over for modifications... It was new years eve night and i was with Andrew going back home on 280. I see a CHP car on the right and immediately slow down. He rolls next to me and looks at my car. White car CF hood and front lip, big no no. Then he falls behind and sees my Apexi N1. After all the times people say "hey you ever get pulled over for that mellon launcher?" So he pulls behind me and on come the lights. My heart was racing because i thought he was going to make me do a sobriety test and i had a "herbal" supplement earlier. At that point i thought i was going to jail. So i pulled over on the freeway and stopped as close to the drivers side line so he would come up to the passenger window. 2 officers come out and they ask me for my drivers license and reg. Then he asks me if i have anything under the hood and i say, "yeah i have an aftermarket intake filter" Some of you might not know but i have a Ludespeed stage 2 and a Link plus EMS. I pop it get out and the first thing he says is "opp theres the filter" Goes to show what CHP officers know jack about imprezas. He didnt even spot the Spearco intercooler or the garrett T3/04 turbo. So Andy finally got a fix it ticket and the kit is coming off. I might consider selling it or just upgrading the parts when i do decided to put it back on.
Well worse could of happened and im glad i just got a fix it ticket. Good thing i had a white guy with me or i might of gotten dragged out of the car and beating like rodney king. Minorities dont like sticks. So always follow rule #4 if you are a minority if you are driving always have a white guy with you.

Wait wait wait... Fix it ticket, or a Referee ticket? If it's just a fix it ticket, then don't worry. Just figure out some ghetto job that makes it look like you have a stock airbox and no cone filter and then have some other dumb lil piggy sign off on it.
If it's a ref, you're screwed, they actually know what an engine bay should look like. But really, a lot of lame little suburban towns like where I come from have cops that'll sign off on this ****. They dont really care much usually.

Really not that bad considering get caught while driving with "herbal" remedies in your system is a much worse offense. I do sympathize with you about the "driving while asian" violation. I've had cops on 5 different occasions pull beside me and look things over. They then tail me for a long time and break after they run my license number. I guess they take a look at me and leave me alone because of my age.
When I read the title I was thinking YOU CRASHED!!! Then it turns out to be just a fix it ticket?!?
You swear you just got 0wN3d or something... just an irritant... if you sell your turbo just because of a fix it ticket, then YOU'RE 0wN3d.

Dang Andy stop scaring the crap out of us. lolz. But yeah if that is all he got you for was the air filter then just put the airbox back in and you are all set. Because he never cited you for the turbo kit.
But yeah that does suck. You should have gotten the hood painted so that wait it would have looked less obvious. It is all good though no worries.

I really don't think having a car full of whitey's would have helped you get out of that ticket. Cops don't like riced out cars or imports for that matter.
Seriously, rig up some type of stock looking intake just for a few minutes in order to find a cop to sign off your ticket. And then throw the intake back on.

I don't get it. What did you do wrong? What on earth could you do to the body of the car for them to care?
Why would they care?
My Camaro used to set off car alarms just by driving near the parked cars.

Now Joseph wants to start talking again. All talk, no action. Lets see if you can get past the first round of the playoffs. The Giants are red hot right now. Then either the Niners or the Pack has to go through Tampa Bay.
Where you gonna say the Pack got punked by the Jets? Yes we did. We got our a$$e$ handed to us. Its all right though. At least we didn't blow a 4th quarter lead up 20-0 to an under.500 team AKA the Lambs, and get 31 points scored in a row on us. Oh and you can make up all the exuses you can about "our backup players were in there" or "if only Jeffy would have played". A loss is still a loss buddy.
