not on Craigslist, but sold my 02 Bugeye on Saturday to a co-worker (for his wife that had her minivan totalled) only had 43k miles on it and was/is pretty much the cleanest, unabused Bugeye on the streets. i know i could've easily sold it for several thousand more, but have too many cars and didn't have time to advertise it and deal w/tirekickers & flakers.
anyway, had a good time here over the years. i might pick up another Suby somewhere down the line, but probably an Outback or Forester. Take it easy, y'all.
Peace,
CL
p.s. GO LAKERS!!!!
Parted back to stock, & all shined up and ready to go
No Photoshop, 43,xxx miles in 12+ years. Needless to say, didn't drive enough to enjoy her
Last time together. They were never properly introduced. I stripped the WRX before the s2k came. Had JDM STi headlights, grill, hood scoop, mesh foglight covers, full suspension, 18" VOLK LE-37T wheels, GReddy front lip, & numerous other goodies. (still have the VOLKS, which are FS or trade)

Good, good luck with the Volks man. I had a set of the same type and size (18x7.5 right?), and took forever and a day to sell, as did the guy before me.
The various Soob FB groups seems to have people more willing to part with their funds. GLWS otherwise.
And yeah, hella clean hella low mileage bug.

thanks, all! i never intended for my Bugeye to be a garage queen, but ever since i brought it up to the Bay Area from SoCal w/like 5000 miles, i didn't have the heart to park it on the SF streets. in fact, i tried to use it as my daily for a few months a few years ago, but after just a few times, the bumpers got knicked and scratched. that pretty much bummed me on the car, esp after keeping it mint for so long. i parted it out shortly after that.
it just sat around ever since. i'd take it around the block or for a short drive whenever i needed to shuffle my cars around, bit it was better to let it go to someone that really needed and would enjoy it. numerous friends have asked me for it over the years, incl one in Vega$. but he broke his tibula & fibula before he could come get it. then my co-worker overheard a convo i had w/another about wanting to downsize the # of cars i had (had 5, incl a track wrx i bought off another member).
i mulled over advertising it on Craigslist and the forums to get as much as i could for it, but my co-worker's wife needed it. i really don't have much time or patience for selling things anymore either, so i made a quick decision to just let it go. definitely not the smartest decision, $$$-wise, but i bought the car outright from the beginning, so i was ready to just make a clean break as fast as possible before i changed my mind.

oh, i don't want to muck up this thread by turning it into a car X vs Subaru thread. i already miss that boxer rumble, awd stability, and.... BOOST! my other cars are not as raw, but my s2k is a lot of fun. being that it is my first droptop, i dare say that it is the most fun car i've owned. it literally puts a smile on my face whenever i drive it, especially topdown. it's no torque monster, but the NA powerplant just begs to be revved higher and higher. it has a car to driver connection that is pretty enjoyable, to say the least. the s2k takes more effort to drive fast, but i really like the handling.
anyhow, like i mentioned, it's possible that i'll get another suby down the line. until then, hope everyone enjoys theirs for however long they have them.
