Switched it to "if you think cycling 3800 miles is rough..."

I have the feeling once you complete the ride, you'll no longer be a fat i-club'r.

First round of messages in from me. For anyone on the fence, I will pay for the best dirty haiku you post to be put on Jack's fly ride, too. Jack and I will judge the entries.

So far I have not done any "direct" solicitation. Only fundraising via i-club, my own site, and facebook/twitter. As of right now I'm at $851.41 and am just beginning my direct fundraising.

There's also a new site that folks here might be interested in... I created it yesterday while wondering what kind of hideous beast I will look like after the trip.

I give you: Bike and Beard
Its a place for past riders to upload their epic beard and mustachio photo's and where i will be cataloging my sweet growth.

We're tight on funds right now and in the East Bay. If that works for you let me be the first to offer you tech services for the bike if you don't already have support for any pre-event stuff from wherever you bought it.

I can't promise pricing or anything on parts (maybe though if I talk to the right people) but will happily wrench for you up to the day of the event seeing as I still do it professionally on the side for peeps. (Way too many industry credentials.)

PM me if that's something you might want. It'd have to be done here since my shop space has everything.

Bit of a trek from Sac to SF but thanks for the offer, I'll hit you up if I need some help.
