Falken Ziex Ze-512.... Rants? Raves?

Anyone use these? I just read in Consumer Reports they had the highest rating among "high performance/all season" tires.

And only $65!!!

Who's used them?

And where can I buy them?

EDIT: where can I buy them *locally*. Preferably San Jose.

They're good all around tires, obviously they aren't in the same class as KDW's or S03's, but they aren't supposed to be. That having been said, great bang for the buck.

I think it's pretty insane that it costs $260 to put this rubber on all four corners.

Unless someone has a big objection, I think I know what my next set of tires is going to be.

i put some on my sti for the winter runs to tahoe and i have no real complaints. they are way better in the rain than the falken sports i had on and work pretty well in the snow. of course i cant wait to get my rt-215's back on next week, the 512's dont hold a candle to them in the dry weather.

What tires you running now? Stockers? Definite improvement (well anything is over re-92s) and very good for the price. Handles the rain with no problem. I've yet to test it on the dirt/mud/snow. I was hoping Bushido (Rich) would have an offroad drive to try them out...oh well, I patiently wait.

I'm still running the RE92's.

I have a friend with a WRX that has Kuhmo performance tires with 17" wheels.... MUCH better in the rain, imo.

It's been awhile, but they looked an awful lot like these. In fact, these were probably the ones he had at the time:

Dood.. They are $43 each for my Celica, seriously considering them. I saw them at edge racing's website.
