Fairfield subaru driver charged with gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI

Is this a repost? how come i didnt hear about this on the forums. I saw it 10 minutes ago on TV.

http://www.ktvu.com/news/17977732/detail.html

Early in the morning on Aug.17, 21-year-old Scott Leister of Castro Valley, his older brother Chris, and two friends were heading home from a night in the city.

Just east of the island, a Subaru Impreza slammed into the back of their Mercedes, investigators say, at more than 100 miles per hour.

Much of their backseat was crushed, and Scott Leister was killed.

Investigators say 22-year old Jerell Puno of Fairfield was driving that Subaru. He is charged with gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI. Leister's family was there last month when Puno appeared in an Oakland courtroom.
When I saw this, I felt so disguisted that this guy owns a subaru. If I gave him the benefit of doubt, its hard to say the mercedes was to blame when its the subaru that rear ends the benz going ~100mph. On TV, the wrecked car looked like a white Sti.

please be safe of the roads and don't drive your car(s) like an idiot

“I don't know how they drive in Frisco, but in the East Bay, we swerve a little,” said one man who wished to remain anonymous. “I be sober swerving, you might think I'm drunk, but I'm just swerving, I'm just doing my thing. You feel me? That's how I get down. Are driving a little bit faster than you should be? I'm driving faster than anybody should be. I'm like the Blue Angels out there on the freeway.”
LOL if this is gonna be on TV...i think we have a new Bubb Rubb...hopefully he gatta lil sis, ya feels?

Sucks that someone had to die in such a senseless act of stupidity, but I'm glad that he's getting the book thrown at him... He'll also have to live with the fact that he KILLED SOMEONE... That's going to mess him up mentally. He should have thought of that before slamming into a car at 100mph with other cars around... *sigh*

I wonder if that idiot has ever posted here? If he has, I'll give him points for being a street racing moron. How funny would that be?

Oh, also, another reason things like this **** me off SOOO MUCH that they make my blood boil inside of me is that the car that was struck could have been one of our moms, sisters, fathers, brothers... It always makes me think of my mom... She's such a careful driver and is always in the slow lane to let everyone pass... I can just see this bastard rear ending my moms Mercedes and killing her...

I'm starting to get an anxiety attack just thinking of it...

he should do more than commit Facebook suicide......poor SOB...he's gonna get whats coming to him...imagine how many other times he's done this.

The times i drive with 1 drink left in my system at the end of the night, i go 67mph...how retarded does your brain have to be to get in a car and drive 100? what a crappy upbringing he has had.

Scott, the kid who was killed, was a friend of my brothers.
