F1 at Indy July 2, 2006

Anyone planning on going to the F1 race in Indy next year should reserve their hotels now! They are going for $50 per night at the moment (2 queen beds). It was going for $400 for the original date they had. You can cancel it the day before the reservation anyway if you do not end up going. Hoping I can make it. I have turn one tickets in line.

ha ha... with the fiasco this year.

i wonder if F1 would even bother showing it's uptight, holier-than-thou attitude here...

well they are a better form of racing than nascar...running in an oval just drafting people, not much skill there to punch it and stay in the circle......now F1 and WRC are FAR more technical sports, i will never respect nascar, i will respect people that do multiple forms of racing like Boris Said (even tho he does race nascar on occasion lol)

For $50 a night I think it's a steal. I can't afford Monaco so this will have to do. .

I'd go for $50 a night...I'd love to hear how V8s sound like revving 20K+ RPMs

I know...that is why the thread states that who is interested in going to Indy on July 2, 2006 which is next season.

As for current engine regulations, engine sizes are restricted to 3.0L V10. No one is running V12s, even Ferrari.

There will be V-10 and V-8 on the field. Minardi maybe using the current V-10 Red Bull runs with a limited RPM range. That's being challenged thought by BMW because they are afraid of how much torque the V-10 will make vs. the V-10. What a bunch of BMWhinners!

4 day ticket for Turn 1 on Sunday $130 with parking. My co-worker has 4 reserved seats over there and he can't go. He offered me 4 but I say I can probably take 2 and my other co-worker took the other 2. Can't book plane tickets yet. Sounds like Southwest maybe the carrier though so it shouldn't be too bad. May have to go to Memphis while there to visit Graceland, if I go.
