I wonder how many people would show up expecting NASCAR-ish action let alone attend. I honestly don't think Texas would be a good venue for it. Some how I don't foresee a large fan base there...CA I think would be a good canidate.
Well I'm sure due to the whinny ***** that chose to live right next to a race track would fuss to no end about the "noise pollution."

Seca would be an awful track for F1...much as I would love to see F1 cars blowing through the corkscrew it simply isn't big enough and there would be no overtaking opportunities.
America needs a custom built track in a cool city...looks like we're going to get what I wished for
Let's hope Tilke designs another awesome circuit like Istanbul.

I've seen them on the modern layout. Don't know if they still do it, but they ran classics every year. John Player Specials, wing-on suspension cars... you name it and it was probably there all the way up to some pretty modern stuff. NA, turbo, etc. It was awesome.
Oh I see, so you didn't see the actual F1 races back in the day? I'm throwing this one out there: aside from LB, where would be the best street course in the US? Please consider venue support, space availability, etc.

THANK YOU! I totally agree about the street courses. It makes for great qualifying but pretty sedate races. Vegas huh? that's a pretty good idea, but they would want to have it on the Strip and that would be a pretty boring track. I was thinking Boston with their crazy tunnel network, but nobody would be able to watch it in person.
