I never said I was god of the mountains. I feel comfortable on Calvaeras only becasue it's in my backyard and I've been driving that road since I 've had my license. I'm aware of my limitations and save most of the pushing for tracks, although not all of the time. I have to agree though a lot of ppl think that the AWD will save them, but hey I bought a WRX knowing that I would push it, I didn't buy it so I could drive it below 3000 RPM.

Ha! Your WRX looks like a bandit hiding in the woods waiting for it's next victim.

ROFL LITTLE DEJA VU?

These damn people that buy these powerful AWD cars, and then try to, self admitedly, corner at 80 just blows my mind.

I drive up to my personal limitations, no further. If something seems hairy, I back off. Sure I have drifted my front LSD equipped 6MT WRX around corners at 100+, but I can control and recover from a slide.

They are too heavy, their brakes are too weak, and most people who buy and drive them wouldn't know how to late brake, cut apexes, left foot brake, throttle off oversteer, and otherwise throw their porky cars through the twisties.
Try to do some research and not be so ignorant ok? You have no idea what the f you are talking about:

Look at all those chryslers (300c *AND* Neons) beating the evos, wrxs, and stis:

and since you think you're such a mario andretti, why don't you come to a track event and show me how its done?

Mario Andretti? Hmm... I'd never consider myself to be a Mario Andretti...

Which one of those 300c's were you driving in the one lap of america?? Or neon's? And realistically, how many drivers on the road (in the general motoring public) have the skill or knowledge how to drive their cars?? Oh, and while were on that subject, how many of THOSE who do have that skill/knowledge modify their cars?? I'm not sure you can find too many of those cars on the street (300 series) which have modified suspensions, and are able to keep up in the twisties. If you can, they are the EXCEPTION to the rule.

However, a LOT of the members around here seem to know what they're doing driving in the twisties. They attend runs by Bushido and have fun driving on the back roads...and the Subaru's don't seem to crash. It's the others that we invite, the ones that are attempting to perform OUTSIDE their performance envelope that crash. I know. I pulled an Xbox out of a farmers field, and stopped to make sure that a Tc was able to drive still, after he missed a corner...
Let's not forget the 280z from last year...

I'd love to see you come out with a stock 300 series vehicle and play at Infineon...let's see what kind of lap times you get. Then lets see what I can do with a Forester...oh yeah, it's an automatic....

come to thunderhill and do it legally.

Stop dancing around what you said because I showed you some facts that proved you wrong.

blah blah blah

"Come to think of it, other than the SRT-4 and the Viper, I don't think there's ANY Chrysler product that can handle that well..."

you think a wrx is a steller handling vehicle stock?

So how long did it take you to find THE EXCEPTION to the rule??

I'm not dancing around any facts...stock for stock (off the showroom floor), a WRX CAN OUTHANDLE a Chrysler 300c. The lateral g force tests conducted by the manufacturer back up this statement. The EXCEPTION you found happens to be highly modified. I'm sure you'll have to concede that.

You proved me WRONG?? Hmm...you must be a lawyer...

Do I think the WRX is the best handling car around? NO. I never said that, so don't twist my words to make people think that I did.

As far as Thunderhill? Is Infineon illegal or something?? Hmm, I'll have to get to work on researching why Infineon Raceway is NOT a legal track to legitimately take your car on, and drive around in a spirited fashion. I guess you forgot to read the last sentence in my statement.
