Thumbs up explicit ! !

That's the best way to describe the Korean movie Old Boy. I just got back from watching it @ Camera 7 in the Pruneyard....

A family man who is grabbed off the street and imprisoned in a room by unseen captors. Fifteen years later he is released, and sets out to discover the reason behind his incarceration and to take revenge on his mysterious enemies.

Check it out

Just saw it last night. The "reason" why is crazy cool. Folks in the theater where pretty much like oooooh ****...hahaa. Very interesting. That chick who plays Mida is easy on the eyes too. =0)

It's quite disturbing movie, like 'Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance' by the same director.

Oldboy is the second movie in the "revenge" trilogy by the director. The movies are:

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
Old Boy
Sympathy for Mrs. Vengeance

All pretty brutal.

Kind of a routine, formulaic spy action/thriller. The was pretty good, but not anything crap-yer-pants spectacular. I think the most interesting thing for me about that movie was the North-South Korean relations storyline (I'm big on Asian politics and I'm having a field day with Sino-Japanese relations now )
