Ewg not opening after tune

So prior to me getting tuned recently. My old tune was around 14psi on a 20g turbo with a tial 38mm ewg (EWG had no problems)

Recently A buddy of mine tuned my car via open source using romraimder and turned my boost to 25psi. My tial spring is a 1bar spring so it should open around 14.5 psi.

Not sure how my ewg is not opening up and i tried doing research but it lead to different scenarios . Would someone from the community point me in the right direction? I miss the brappp..

There's a lot of OS forums, ROM Raider and the Tactrix ones coming to mind as good ones, you'll get more info there likely.

Could be duty cycles too low (purpose or accidental), mechanical/electrical issue... just something as banal as a plug not all the way in.

Good luck, and be careful with the OS stuff. No offense to your friends, but maybe consider a professional tune (some local tuners do do that), it's well worth the price.

I'd take back to your tuner buddy

Is it possible that it needs cleaning?

This is why I only take my car to tuner buddies with dynos, shops and business licenses.

Why don't you put your previous tune back on the car and see if it fixes it. If it does, then you know it's tune related. If it does not then you know it's something with the part.

Did you change anything else during the tune or are you running the exact parts untouched that you were running on your previous tunes.

Thanks for the suggestions. Car runs great with good afr. Before I got the re-tune the ewg would open accordingly. I just spoke with my friend and we will turn down the duty cycle a bit and go from there.

Thanks everyone!

Found your problem, take it to a tuner with a dyno that knows their stuff (Mike, Travis, there are a few others I can't remember the names of)
